Editor
As an editor I consult with a reporter or producer about the content, tone and structure of a story (episode or series.) Often that starts at the conceptual stage, talking with a reporter, producer or host about their goals and big questions for the project. I check in along the way to help assess the projects' evolution and, once a draft is complete, will work directly with the script. An “edit” will include at least one but usually several rounds of written notes and suggestions, including at least one opportunity to listen to a live read with tape.

Producer
As a producer I pitch, research, write and interview (or pre-interview) guests for a segment or story on a given show topic or series. I can also take story ideas and help bring them to life in concert with a host or senior producer. Based on the goals of a project I develop a story narrative and source experienced, unique and diverse guests.
I handle logistical hurdles like studio bookings and tape syncs and maintain professional and open lines of communication with sources to facilitate interviews. I can manage high profile talent and provide constructive feedback to hosts before, during, or after interviews.
